The CHCA’s national and regional events are recognized as premier networking opportunities for home care leaders. Whether the workshops and forums are targeting national priorities or local issues, CHCA events bring diverse stakeholders together to share experiences, learn from each other and build upon successes.

2026 National Caregiver Day Symposium – Aging Across Ages and Stages

On April 7, 2026, the Canadian Home Care Association co-hosted the National Caregiver Day Symposium with the Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence, a program of the Azrieli Foundation. Over 200 caregivers, researchers, providers, and system leaders joined in person and virtually to explore employer supports for working caregivers, ageing with dignity, disability and inclusive caregiving, and the experiences of young and youth caregivers.

2018 Home Care Summits- Go Beyond

The 2018 Home Care Summits® in PEI and BC challenged delegates to “go beyond” and collaborate to create solutions to common challenges facing all home care providers.  Key priority areas featured at the Summits included achieving integrated, seamless community-based services; recognizing and supporting caregivers; improving community and home-based palliative care; and tracking and reporting performance indicators.

    2017 Home Care Summits – Making Home Care Better

    The Canadian Home Care Association 2017 Summits® were held in three strategic locations across Canada: Edmonton, Alberta; Toronto, Ontario; and Halifax, Nova Scotia. Each 1ó day Summit explored a unique theme from the Better Home Care Action Plan and builded on the goal to provide more and better home care. Complementing the in-person experience, the feature keynote sessions were broadcasting live from the Summit locations and be accessible to home care teams in their local jurisdictions.
