MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

The CHCA represents a wide range of stakeholders involved in home and community care. Members include federal, provincial and territorial governments, health authorities, service providers, equipment and technology companies, and others non-government organizations. As a national membership association, the CHCA funds and manages projects that address pan-Canadian priorities. A recognized and respected facilitator, we make connections and stimulate knowledge sharing.

Together, with our membership the CHCA works to strengthen integrated home and community-based care. Uniquely positioned to address the need of the home and community care sector across the country, the CHCA works with our members to identify and share innovative practices, provide opportunities to develop new skills, inform and engage in provincial / territorial and federal health care policy and link like-minded people through our networking events.

Why join the CHCA?

Stay abreast of new directions and opportunities

Members of the CHCA have access to the latest trends and developments that impact home and community care across the country. Addressing either broad sector directions or specific population needs, the CHCA provides comprehensive reviews through our national scans and other publications. Our targeted advocacy campaigns provide key messaging and materials to help members become actively engaged in shaping policy and practice.

Learn about innovations and leading practices

We encourage our members to share their innovative ideas and work with us to test new models that will have a positive impact on home and community care. Be part of our knowledge translation work and support leading-edge research projects or learn about leading practices in home and community care featured in our knowledge centre (High Impact Practice, Spotlight on Innovation).

Invest in continuous professional and personal development

CHCA member events are designed to provide unique opportunities for individuals to build new relationships, meet with senior home care leaders and share ideas about health care priorities. Participate in a virtual webinar and learn from recognized experts, join us at a roundtable or consultation, or access our online resources.
