REPORTS

RURAL AND REMOTE

Delivering Home Care In Rural, Remote and Northern Regions

This report profiles home care services in three distinct communities across Canada and shares the perspectives of the client, the providers and the administrators / policy planners about challenges and promising practices. The report explores the question of how a rural and remote setting influences the implementation of policy and practices.

Home Care Services in Remote Communities: Gaps and Innovations

To gain a better understanding of the complexity of rural health care policy as it relates to home care services, the CHCA set out to obtain qualitative information on home care services for rural and remote communities. Key considerations reflected in the report are unmet needs and service gaps, innovations and best practices.
