Developing the knowledge, attitudes and skills needed to provide high quality home-based palliative care

The eiCOMPASS project is bringing together a network of home care providers, and partners across the country to develop health care providers’ skills to deliver emotionally initiative, competency-based palliative care in the home setting.  Through a financial contribution from Health Canada, the CHCA will:

Build awareness of the Canadian Interdisciplinary Palliative Care Competency Framework with home care organizations across the country.

Develop Emotional Intelligence (EI) training and tools to reinforce the competencies and help home care providers apply their skills to deliver emotionally intuitive palliative care.

Facilitate the adoption of the Canadian Interdisciplinary Palliative Care Competency Framework through a SPRINT Implementation Collaborative.
